Goat and Llama rescue in Inverness near Palatine Road and Ela Road, Inverness.
Inverness police and Palatine Rural Fire Protection District firefighter/paramedics responded about 2:06 PM Friday to Inverness, IL. Police and firefighter/paramedics received a report that goats and llamas escaped from a trailer and were wandering near Palatine Road and Ela Road, and also near Palatine Road and Poteet Avenue.
The animals on the loose were rounded up and transported to Palatine Rural Fire Protection District fire station and then transferred back to their trailer.
A passerby, who said he has raised goats, advised the firefighters to just grab them by the horns. All the animals were rounded up within about 30 minutes. At least one goat was injured when he fell from the moving transport trailer. The passerby also helped the firefighters round up the goats.
Inverness police officer also assisted with the roundup.
