Chicago police, firefighters, and paramedics responded starting about 11:35 p.m. near the Eisenhower Expressway from Kedzie to California. Five men were wounded in a shooting at 11:35 p.m. near a playground on the West Side.
The five men were standing outside in the 3200 block of West Congress Parkway when an offender fired shots.
One male, age 32, was shot multiple times. He was transported, Code Red, to Level I Trauma Center Mount Sinai Hospital, where he was listed in critical condition.
One male, age 28, was shot in the mouth. He was transported to Mount Sinai where he was listed in good condition.
A male, age 33, was shot in the left foot and transported to Stroger Cook County Hospital.
A male, age 32, was shot in the buttocks and transported to Stroger Cook County Hospital.
A male, age 34, was shot in the armand transported to Stroger Cook County Hospital.
Three of the men were found shot near the inbound Eisenhower Expressway near California Avenue.
Multiple shell casings were visible in the middle of the street near Congress Parkway and Kedzie Avenue.
