Presumptive GOP presidential candidate Donald Trump, speaking at a supporter rally in Dallas, Texas, referred to the Orlando terrorist Omar Mateen as a “son of a bitch”, arguing that guns in civilian hands could have prevented the mass slaughter that occurred on Sunday June 12, 2016.
“If some of those wonderful people had guns strapped … right to their waist or right to their ankle and this son of a bitch comes out and starts shooting, and one of the people in that room happened to have it, and goes ‘boom, boom’ — you know what, that would’ve been a beautiful sight.”

The mass shooting has caused an uptick in demands by liberals — including President Barack Obama — for increased gun control, while conservatives are emphasizing the underlying problem is the lack of a firm fight against the War on Terror, not gun control of law-abiding citizens.
