Elmhurst police responded about 1:05 PM Thursday to a report of an attempted armed robbery at 1st Street and York Street Elmhurst, IL. Police received a report of shots fired in an attempted robbery involving four male/Hispanic suspects. One of the suspects — a front seat passenger — was wearing a blue bandana. The actual location may have been at Willow Road and 1st Street.
The offenders’ vehicle was described as a green Buick. The vehicle was last eastbound on 1st Street from York Street.
One male, age 27, was reported shot in the hip at 1st Street and Willow Road, where Elmhurst firefighter/paramedics were dispatched to stage nearby.
Elmhurst police reported man was shot in a parking lot in the 200 block of East 1st Street, which is between Willow Road and Haven Road.
