South Holland police responded about 2:00 p.m. Tuesday to a report of an armed robbery and shots fired at the Boost Mobile store 1022 E. 162nd Street around 2 p.m. Tuesday.
Police reported that several people were inside the store at the time of the robbery, and one of them was shot during the incident. The victim was rushed to Ingalls Hospital in Harvey, where the shooting victim was pronounced dead. Police have not released the victim’s name.
Police are searching for one of two suspects in a deadly armed robbery at a cell phone store in South Holland, after one suspect was captured and taken into custody following a brief chase. The second suspect remains at large.
South Holland Police Department are investigating the armed robbery with a fatal shooting with the assistance of The South Suburban Major Crimes Task Force.
