Hoffman Estates police and firefighter/paramedics responded about 4:57 PM Tuesday to a report of a car crash with a house 4065 Whispering Trails Drive Hoffman Estates, Il. Police and firefighter/paramedics on arrival discovered that a car hit a house and also hit a gas meter. The gas meter line was leaking and firefighters upgraded the call to include extra firefighting equipment for standby.
Firefighters were evacuating some residents in neighboring homes in the immediate area.

One person possibly injured.
