Fire command initially requested an EMS Box for possibly injured fire victims, then called for a MABAS Fire Box Alarm for assistance fighting heavy fire on the second floor and attic.
Fire command reported the bulk of the fire was knocked down but that heavy fire still existed at about 8:48 p.m.
The EMS Box for ambulances was struck out at about 8:51 p.m. It was initially unknown whether any injured people were transported to area hospitals. Naperville Fire Department uses a proprietary radio system that cannot be monitored by the media.
Staging for mutual aid firefighters was located at the Menards parking lot at Fort Hill Drive and Aurora Avenue.
DuPage County Fire Investigators with a full task force were called to the scene about 9:50 p.m.
