Attached garage fire with car fire inside at 2:00 a.m. Friday on Lehigh Lane, Buffalo Grove.
Buffalo Grove police and firefighter/paramedics responded about 2:02 AM Friday to a report of an attached garage fire at a house fire in the block of 785 Lehigh Lane Buffalo Grove, Il. Police and firefighter/paramedics received a report that a garage was on fire. Residents also report that a car was in the garage and “things were starting to explode.”
Arlington Heights firefighters from Engine 4 from their station nearby were first on the scene by 2:06 am. Engine 4’s crew reported a fully-involved garage fire, and that they hitting the fire with their deck gun.
The fire was reported knocked by 2:24 a.m.
Firefighters from several area fire departments assisted Buffalo Grove. A Box Alarm was called during overhaul and investigation of the fire scene 2:39 a.m.
Firefighters from Arlington Heights, Libertyville, Lincolnshire, Long Grove, Mount Prospect, Palatine, Rolling Meadows, and Wheeling.
Firefighters from Barrington-Countryside, Lake Zurich and other communities protected the rest of Buffalo Grove — responding to overnight fire alarms and EMS calls.
