Prince Rogers Nelson, the artist known as Prince, was found dead at Paisley Park studios in Minnesota.
Pop legend Prince has died at his home at the musician’s Paisley Park studios in suburban Minneapolis, his publicist confirmed to The Associated Press.
Earlier Thursday police confirmed there was a death investigation at the musician’s Paisley Park studios in Minnesota.
Last week Prince was rushed to an Illinois hospital after his plane made an emergency landing. Prince had been fighting the flu for several weeks, according to the singer’s rep.

Carver County Chief Sheriff’s Deputy Jason Kamerud told the media that officials are withholding information about the identity of the deceased person until next of kin had been notified.
