Palatine police and firefighter/paramedics responded about 6:06 PM Sunday to a report of a house fire at 1039 North Penny Lane Palatine, Il. Police and firefighter/paramedics received a report that house was on fire with smoke coming up from the basement.
First firefighters on the scene reported fire showing from the left side of the house. The first interior crew reported moderate smoke with no heat.
Firefighters reached the basement and extinguished the fire by 6:31 p.m.
Possibly one pet was rescued — not confirmed.
