The Alameda County Fire Department, Fremont Fire Department, Cal Fire and the California Highway Patrol responded about 7:15 p.m. Monday to a crash involving the Altamont Corridor Express (ACE) train No. 10. The eastbound train derailed near Niles Canyon Road while traveling from San Jose to Stockton on the route through Fremont.
Two cars derailed, one car was on its side into the Alameda Creek.
ACE officials reported 214 people were aboard the train.
