Chicago police, firefighters and paramedics 11:44 AM Thursday responded to a report of a person in the water near Diversey Harbor in Lake Michigan 41.932520, -87.631380 (Lake Shore Drive And Diversey Chicago, Il). Rescuers received a report that an 18-year-old victim was swept into Diversey Harbor by a wave.

Chicago Fire Department divers brough to the scene by helicopter entered the water by 11:59 a.m. but were unable to find the teen. At about 12:37 p.m. the rescue operation was changed to a recovery operation.
A Small Craft Advisory is in effect for Lake Michigan waters until 10:00 a.m. Friday. Lake Michigan has significant waves of 12 feet with occasional waves of 15 feet.
