Arlington Heights police and firefighter/paramedics responded about 9:45 AM Friday to a report of crash with injuries at Thomas Street and Waterman Avenue Arlington Heights, IL. Police and firefighter/paramedics received a report that a crashed into a light pole near John Hersey High School. A caller reported that a female driver appeared to be moving in the car, but that power lines were down near the car.
First firefighter/paramedics on the scene reported a car crash into a light pole. A few minutes later firefighter/paramedics reported power lines were down at the crash — located near the high school
The power line down was a pole-to-pole line that supplies power to the light poles in the area.
ComEd was request to expedite to the scene due to the proximity to the high school and for pedestrian safety.
