The social network and new timeline network Twitter experienced disruptions for many users January 18 and January 19, 2016. Some desktop/laptop web visitors are being greeted by an error page, while mobile app users are being alerted that, “Tweets aren’t loading right now. Please tap to retry.” Twitter appeared to functioning normally by about 8:00 a.m. CST on January 19, 2016.

Mobile users are also unable to read or post tweets to the network. Embedded Tweets and embedded Timelines are functioning partially, with some timelines not displaying any Tweets, and some Timelines displaying Tweets with broken images. Twitter has over 300 million active members.
Twitter has reported that the company is aware of the issue and is working toward a resolution.
