Naperville police and firefighter/paramedics responded about 1:09 PM Saturday to a report of an activated alarm with smoke from a storage area inside the store at Gordmans department store, 2639 Aurora Ave Naperville, IL. Fire crews on arrival reported nothing showing from three sides of the building. An interior crew reported heavy smoke inside the store.
Extra alarm units were assigned to fight the fire. The fire was extinguished within about 40 minutes. Damage to the building structure was moderate while there was heavy damage to contents in the storage room.
