Des Plaines police and firefighter/paramedics responded about 7:57 AM Tuesday to a report of crash with injuries at Elmhurst Rd and Interstate 90 Des Plaines, Il. Police and firefighter/paramedics received a report that a truck rolled over and may have involved entrapment.
Des Plaines Engine 63 crew on arrival reports the truck crash is on southbound Elmhurst Rd south of I-90. Engine 63’s reporeted a flatbed semi-trailer truck rolled over with a piece of construction equipment load down on the ground by 8:01 am.
Engine 63 reports no entrapment by 8:02 am.
There were early reports that a petroleum pipeline was possibly damaged in the rollover crash.
Extended traffic delays as firefighters report a crane will be needed to pick up the construction equipment down on the roadway near the border of Des Plaines and Elk Grove Village.
