Lake County Sheriff’s Deputies responded about 1:45 am. Wednesday October 30, 2015 to a report of a stabbing in the 38100 block of north Harold Place, Unincorporated Spring Grove. When Sheriff’s Deputies arrived, they located a 21-year-old male victim with a stab wound to one of his legs. The victim was transported to Centegra Northern Illinois Medical Center, with non-life threatening injuries.
The investigation revealed the victim and an acquaintance, Alexander P. Campos, 19, of the 500 block of Sunrise Drive, McHenry, were together at a friend’s house. Campos began arguing with the victim and produced a knife, which he then used to stab the victim in the leg. Campos then fled the scene. Alcohol apparently played a factor in the incident.
Campos was located at his residence by the McHenry County Sheriff’s Office, where he was taken into custody, without incident.
Campos was charged with Aggravated Battery (Class 3 Felony). He is currently being held in the Lake County Jail and is due in Court on December 31, 2015 at 9:00AM in courtroom C-120 for a bond hearing.
