Illinois State Police and Northbrook and Northfield firefighter/paramedics responded about 12:21 AM Thursday to a report of a crash with injuries on Southbound Edens Expressway near Willow Road Northfield, Il. Police and firefighter/paramedics received a report that a man on a motorcycle hit a deer in the southbound lanes of the Edens Expressway near Willow Road.
The man was transported by firefighter/paramedics to Level I Trauma Center Advocate Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge.
The Edens Expressway southbound lanes were closed during an overnight accident reconstruction investigation.
The southbound lanes were re-opened at about 5:35 a.m. after being backed up to about Dundee Road at 5:20 a.m.
The deer was killed in the crash.
