Waukegan and Gurnee police and firefighter/paramedics responded about 9:25 AM Sunday to a homicide in the block of 3700 Pacific Avenue Gurnee, IL. Police reported that a known suspect is at large after fleeing the scene on foot.
The suspect is described as a male/white 5’11” 400 LBS with no clothing description available. The suspect is described as possibly being covered in blood.
Police activity is at Pacific Avenue and Magnolia and Pacific Avenue and Belle Plaine in Gurnee.

Police in area communities are actively searching for the suspect, and an Illinois Law Enforcement Alarm System (ILEAS) callout has been activated for the area.
Residents in the area are reporting seeing Northern Illinois Police Alarm System (NIPAS) armored police trucks and large command vehicles in the area.
