Facebook was down with a large outage Thursday morning, September 24, 2015 from about 11:31 a.m. to 11:45 p.m. CDT. Facebook.com showed a message that said “Sorry, something went wrong. We’re working on it and we’ll get it fixed as soon as we can.”
The Facebook outage was so bad that the website downdetector.com was overloaded.

Today, Facebook had no explanation on their official Twitter account. Their latest tweet today was from August 27, 2015 when the announced: “Today, 1,000,000,000 of us were together on Facebook.”
