VIDEO: Crash at Evergreen Avenue and Northwest Highway injures one driver while making left turn.
Arlington Heights police and firefighter/paramedics responded about 9:37 AM Tuesday to a report of crash with injuries at Evergreen Avenue and Northwest Highway Arlington Heights, IL. Police and firefighter/paramedics received a report that a woman was injured in a crash in the intersection.
A female driver of one of three vehicles in the crash was transported to Level I Trauma Center Advocate Lutheran General Hospital.
According to a witness of the crash, two vehicles were in the left turn land from westbound US 14 to southbound Evergreen Avenue. A train had just cleared the crossing at Evergreen Avenue, when the female driver of a dark red car turned left in front of a black Toyota SUV that was headed eastbound on US 14. The vehicles crashed head-on and the dark red car was spun backwards into the red car that was in the left turn lane behind the dark red car.
The female driver in the dark red car was injured and transported by paramedics to Advocate Lutheran General Hospital.
