Wood Dale police and firefighter/paramedics responded about 2:54 PM Sunday to a report of a large tent collapse at Wood Dale Junior High, 655 North Wood Dale Road Wood Dale, IL. Police and firefighter/paramedics received a report that a large tent collapsed in a severe thunderstorm that passed over Prairie Fest at Wood Dale Junior High.

UPDATE: One man was killed in the tent collapse. He was identified as Steven Nincic, age 35, of Wood Dale. He is reported to have been with his wife and family at Prairie Fest. Up to 20 people were reported injured.

At least 14 ambulances have been dispatched to the scene. Fire departments from Addison, Bartlett, Bloomingdale, Elmhurst, Glenside, Hoffman Estates, Leyden, Northlake, and Villa Park have responded to assist Wood Dale firefighter/paramedics.
The EMS response was raised to a Third Alarm at 3:09 p.m. Sunday.
The extent of injuries was unknown at 3:20 p.m. Sunday.
