Schaumburg police and firefighter/paramedics responded about 7:07 PM Thursday to a report of power lines down in traffic at Woodfield Road and Meacham Road Schaumburg, IL. Police and firefighter/paramedics received a report that a power line was down across the roadway, and also down in a crosswalk on the east side of the intersection.
First responders also received a report that motorists were driving over the downed power lines.
There was also an unconfirmed report of a power line down on a vehicle.
Stoplights were reported “out” at the intersection.
Northbound Meacham Road was closed at Higgins Road at about 7:23 p.m.
Fire crews on the scene reported three poles down and primary lines down.
