Elk Grove Villagend firefighter/paramedics responded about 11:17 AM Wednesday to 1201 Arthur Ave Elk Grove Village, IL. Police and firefighter/paramedics received a report that a gas can and a trailer were on fire outside a commercial building, and that one person was suffering from burns.
First firefighters on the scene reported that the fire was out. People on the scene extinguished the fire with a fire extinguisher.
Workers were filling a power washer when the fire ignited. At least one worker was seriously injured. A second worker was reported “not injured.”
At least one patient will be transported to Level I Trauma Center Advocate Lutheran General Hospital or Loyola University Medical Center burn unit.
