News Corporation (officially referred to as News Corp) is an American multinational mass media company, formed as a spin-off of the former News Corporation, founded by Rupert Murdoch in 1979. Involved in Cable network programming, film entertainment, television, direct-broadcast satellite television, publishing. New Corp assets are primarily print media in the UK (The Sun, The Times, Sunday Times) and Australia (news.com.au, The Australian, numerous metropolitan newspapers). United States assets include the New York Post and the Wall Street Journal, and internationally the Dow Jones & Company.
Twenty-First Century Fox, Inc.
Twenty-First Century Fox, Inc., also known as Fox, is an American multinational mass media corporation. Fox was one of two companies formed from the 2013 spin-out of the publishing assets of News Corporation founded by Rupert Murdoch in 1979. 21st Century Fox is a legal successor to the old News Corporation, and is primarily involved in the film and television industries. Fox News Channel and Fox Business Network are assets owned by 21st Century Fox.
Fox holdings include the Fox Entertainment Group—owners of the 20th Century Fox film studio and Fox television. Outside the US, has other assets that include pan-Asian pay channel operator STAR TV, and a stake in European pay TV company Sky plc.
Fox Television Stations Group
Fox Television Stations Group, includes a group of television stations located within the United States which are owned-and-operated by the Fox Broadcasting Company, a subsidiary of the Fox Entertainment Group — part of 21st Century Fox. WFLD in the Chicago market is an original Fox-owned station from the network’s inception in 1986, and formed the core of Fox Broadcasting Company. WFLD was initially owned by Field Enterprises — publishers of the Chicago Sun-Times and the Chicago Daily News.

Note: In July 2011, Rupert Murdoch faced allegations that his companies, including the now defunct News of the World, owned by News Corporation, had been regularly hacking the cell phones of celebrities, royalty and public citizens. Murdoch faces police and government investigations into bribery and corruption by the British government and the FBI. Murdoch resigned as a director of News International on July 21, 2012.
James Rupert Murdoch
James Rupert Jacob Murdoch is the younger son of media mogul Rupert Murdoch and the chief executive officer of 21st Century Fox. James Murdoch is the former chairman and chief executive of News Corp., Europe and Asia, where he oversaw assets such as News International (British newspapers), publisher of The News of the World newspaper, SKY Italia (satellite television in Italy), Sky Deutschland, and STAR TV (satellite television in Asia).

Lachlan Keith is currently the Executive Chairman of Nova Entertainment, will have the role of non-executive Co-Chairman of News Corp and 21st Century Fox.

Elisabeth Murdoch is the chairman and CEO of Shine Limited, a television production company with offices in London and Manchester. Shine programming includes Gladiators and The Biggest Loser.
Roger Ailes
Roger Ailes, president of Fox News and chairman of the Fox Television Stations Group, will continue to report directly to Rupert Murdoch.
Chase Carey
Chase Carey is the President and Chief Operating Officer (COO) of 21st Century Fox. He has also served as Deputy Chairman. In August 2011 Rupert Murdoch hinted that Carey would be his successor as CEO of News Corporation. Carey helped launch Fox News and Fox Sports. Carey also served as CEO of DirecTV, which was owned by Hughes Electronics. News Corp. gained a controlling interest in Hughes Electronics while Carey was COO of Fox, Inc., and CEO of Fox Broadcasting. He left for DirectTV in 2003, but returned to News Corp as President, COO and Deputy Chairman. In 2013, Casey was announced as the COO of 21st Century Fox
