VIDEO (Some graphic language): Disturbance on Milwaukee West Line train No. 2725 in Elgin after midnight last Monday, June 22, 2015.
Metra police responded to the Milwaukee West Line train No. 2725 after midnight Monday when the train arrived at the Western Avenue Station, 420 North Artesian Avenue. The conductor requested that two Metra police officers at the station remove two passengers from the train. Metra No. 2725 is the last train to Elgin from Chicago’s Union Station on the Sunday schedule.
Metra spokesman Michael Gillis said a group of “apparently intoxicated” passengers were on the upper level of one car. Two of them were using “obscene” language, but then police are recorded on video using obscene language while restraining, tazing and arresting one of the male subjects of the arrest.
One of the subjects removed was a minor, who came down from the upper level of the train car after police requested him to come down. The other male resisted while saying he wasn’t resisting. Only after police used the taser, were they able to handcuff the second male.
The 20-year-old subject that resisted, Ryan Hutchinson, of Bloomingdale was charged with disorderly conduct and resisting arrest. His court date was scheduled for July 27, 2015.
