Illinois State police and firefighter/paramedics from multiple communities responded about 10:24 PM Sunday to a report of crash with injuries on the eastbound Tri-State Lake Forest, IL. Police and firefighter/paramedics received a report that two people were ejected in a crash on eastbound Tri-State Tollway between Everett Road and Route 22. The crash is located at Mile Post 20.5.
Illinois State Police on the scene reported 5 people were ejected. At least one child has been seriously injured in the crash. Some victims were transported to Level I Trauma Center Advocate Condell Medical Center.
Illinois State police and Deerfield firefighter/paramedics were initially reported searching for a total of 8 crash victims with up to five victims possibly ejected from a crashed vehicle.
Firefighter/paramedics from Deerfield, Lake Forest, Countryside, and Lincolnshire-Riverwoods responded to the crash.
The eastbound lanes of the Tri-State Tollway (I-94) are blocked at Route 60. All eastbound (southbound) traffic is being diverted off the tollway at Route 60.
Eastbound traffic on the Tri-State Tollway is backed up to about the Lake Forest Oasis.
