Hoffman Estates police and firefighter/paramedics responded about 10:34 AM Tuesday to a report of some type of construction-related explosion that blew out a window at the Alexian Brothers Medical Plaza, 1786 Moon Lake Boulevard Hoffman Estates, IL. Police and firefighter/paramedics arrived on the scene to discover that a construction coring machine had slide into the building on the northeast side of the building.
First responders received a report that the a glass window blew out and cut someone inside — on the other side of the wall.
Firefighter/paramedics immediately went inside to investigate and assess injuries. A squad and/or engine crew worked to secure the construction equipment outside. The suppression crews reported no chemical hazards or other hazards outside the bulding.
No word on the number and extent of injuries at the medical office.
