Arlington Heights police received a report about 1:41 PM Saturday of a vehicle burglary parked near Quicksilver Mechanical, 3361 North Ridge Avenue Arlington Heights, IL. Police received a report that an unknown offender or offenders forced entry into the victim’s 2013 black Ford Transit.
Taken was a red canvas tool bag valued at $20. Also taken were hand tools valued at $50 and two cordless Ryobi drills and a cordless sawzall with a combined value of $200. The tools were inside the red canvas bag.
Also taken was a black canvas tool bag valued at $20. The black canvas bag contained miscellaneous electronic meters and hand tools valued at $1,000.
The cost to repair the damage to the window was unknown at the time of the report.
The crime is reported to have occurred on Saturday, May 23, 2015 between 8:30 AM and 1:40 PM. The elapsed time range including the time the crime could have occurred is 5:10 (hours: minutes).
