Even Mother Nature could not pull off an April Fool’s hoax by throwing wet weather and overcast skies to attempt to dampen the holiday enthusiasm of a crowd of nearly 21,000 attending Sunday’s races for Mother’s Day at Arlington International Racecourse.
Families from around Chicagoland once again made Arlington the area’s premier destination for Mother’s Day celebrations, producing the second massive crowd in the first two weekends of the Arlington racing season. On May 2, more than 26,000 racegoers attended Chicagoland’s largest Kentucky Derby party at Arlington, enjoying live racing prior to watching American Pharoah capture the 141st running of the famed race at Churchill Downs.
Don’t miss the summer of fun at Arlington International Racecourse with world class thoroughbred racing and a weekend summer festival of fun. Summer festival weekend event details can be found at www.Arlingtonpark.com.
