Arlington Heights Ford is aiming to help raise $10,000 for five local charities, and they’re doing it by getting fit.
Back in November, the team at Arlington Heights Ford took the Beach Body Challenge – a company-wide initiative to get fit and feel healthier. And even their general sales manager John Guido Jr. got involved.
Guido Jr. always ate healthy food and regularly hit the gym, but his team members inspired him to try a little harder. He did so with the help of a longtime friend and Beach Body coach Jen Thatcher, and the results were more than he ever expected.
Guido Jr., after shedding more than 23 pounds in just 90 days, won a nationwide competition and was awarded $1,000. But that’s not all. He is now one of just 12 mens finalists for the quarterly Beach Body Challenge and is in the running to win $5,000.00!

The team at Arlington Heights Ford has pledged to match Guido’s winnings and donate a grand total of $10,000 to five Chicagoland nonprofits: GiGi’s Playhouse, The Cradle Foundation, Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF), Susan G. Komen, and the Sigma Kappa Foundation.
