Arlington Heights police and firefighter/paramedics responded about 5:37 PM Monday to a report of a crash with injuries at Arlington Heights Road and Rockwell Street Arlington Heights, IL. Police and firefighter/paramedics received a report of a two-vehicle crash.
Apparently the driver of a northbound Cadillac turned left in front of a Hyundai Accent that was southbound on Arlington Heights Road. The woman in the Hyundai Accent was seriously injured.
Several other motorists came to the aid of a woman driving the Hyundai. She was lying on the ground after the crash.
The driver of the Cadillac apparently had minor injuries known at the time of the class.
Both vehicles had heavy front-end damage.
Arlington Heights Road was blocked in both directions during rescue and cleanup of the crashed vehicles.
A second personal injury crash occurred at Arlington Heights Road and Northwest Highway at about 5:51 p.m. The crash was on westbound Northwest Highway at Arlington Heights Road.
