Palatine police and firefighter/paramedics responded about 4:05 PM Sunday to a report of crash with injuries at Route 53 and Dundee Road Palatine, IL. Firefighter/paramedics upon arrival reported a rear-end collision on the ramp from northbound Route 53 to eastbound Dundee Road.
Four or five people involved in the crash were being evaluated initially with one possible patient transport to a local hospital.
Arlington Heights firefighter/paramedics responded with Palatine firefighter/paramedics to the crash.
A second ambulance was requested at about 4:17 p.m. for a possible second transport.
Illinois State police were also investigating a report of property damage on southbound Route 53 near Dundee Road after debris was hit on the expressway.
