UPDATE: A 50-year-old man who worked at Acme Industries has died from his injuries.

Elk Grove Village police and firefighter/paramedics responded about 11:54 AM Wednesday to a report of a man trapped in a machine at Acme Industries, 777 Chase Avenue Elk Grove Village, IL. Police and firefighter/paramedics received a report that a man was seriously injured and was trapped in a machine.
First firefighter/paramedics arrived at 11:58 a.m. and immediately went to work with portable extrication tools.
Elk Grove Village firefighters requested an OSHA notification at 12:09 p.m. OSHA is responding to the scene for investigation.
The man was extricated from the machine at about 12:16 p.m.
