Arlington Heights police and firefighter/paramedics responded about 9:36 AM Friday to a report of smoke in a condo unit at 2700 Bel Aire Drive Arlington Heights, IL. First firefighter/paramedics upon arrival reported that there was smoke showing from the front door.
Upon interior investigation, firefighters discovered debris smoldering on the first floor. Arlington Heights Battalion Chief reported there was no structural fire.
Firefighters were searching the first floor for victims or other hazards, and extinguished the debris in the first floor unit.
Firefighters extinguished the debris fire by 9:45 a.m. and were working on ventilation of the unit and the building.
