Palatine police and firefighter/paramedics responded about 7:05 AM Tuesday to a report of crash with injuries at 42.101789,-88.01706 (Southbound Route 53 near Northwest Highway Palatine, IL. Police and firefighter/paramedics received a report that a crash involved at least two vehicles with one vehicle in the right lane and one vehicle near the left wall.
Firefighter/paramedics did not transport any patients from that crash with medical refusals signed.
Southbound was backed up to just north of Dundee Road — about half way to Lake Cook Road.
Also, a school bus was stalled on eastbound Palatine Road near Arlington Heights Road, which caused a backup all the way to Route 53, and also backed up northbound Route 53 almost to Interstate 90 by 7:40 a.m.
