Rolling Green Country Club at Rand Road and Euclid Avenue in Arlington Heights is being sold to ClubCorp, a national country club group with clubs nationwide.
Rolling Green Country Club, 2525 East Rand Road is a private country club in Arlington Heights, Illinois for just over 90 years, with over 200 members and 105 acres. Many of the members are business leaders, physicians, real estates agents and their families. The country club includes an 18-hole golf course, swimming pool, restaurant, bar, fitness center and skeet shooting range on the west side of the property. Rolling Green Country Club is the only location in Arlington Heights, excluding the police headquarters firing range, where firing a gun is legal. Gunshots are often heard on weekends.
The country club is bordered by Rand Road, Euclid Avenue, Forrest Avenue and Oakton Street/Waterman Avenue. Several large luxury homes have been constructed in recent years that back up to the golf course.
ClubCorp owns and operates more than 200 private golf and country clubs, athletic clubs, business clubs and public golf course across the United States.
ClubCorp approached Rolling Green Country Club in June 2014, which resulted in a decision that involved 90 percent of Rolling Green’s members voting in support of the sale. All 225 members of Rolling Green Country Club will be moved over to the new management.
ClubCorp recently acquired Ravinia Green Country Club in Riverwoods, which marks the first acquisition in suburban Chicago. ClubCorp also owns two clubs in downtown Chicago — Mid-America Club on East Randolph Avenue and Metropolitan Club in Willis Tower. Both clubs in the City of Chicago are business clubs.
ClubCorp has three golf clubs and a business club at Hilton Head Island and Hilton Head, South Carolina.
ClubCorp also manages Stadium Clubs for alumni, owners faculty and fans of the sports teams of universities. Currently these include …
The University of Texas Club in Austin, Texas
The Boston College Club in Boston, Massachusetts
The Carolina Club in Chapel Hill, North Carolina
The University of Massachusetts Club in Boston
The University Center Club at Florida State University
The Texas Tech Club in Lubbock, Texas
Baylor Club in Waco, Texas
Rolling Green membership charges are expected to be less expensive after the acquisition.
The sale is expected to be finalized by the end of January. The property is not expected to undergo changes involving the construction of condominiums or townhomes.
