Cook County Forest Preserve staff report a controlled burn is ongoing today with Resource Management crews working west of Route 59 and south of Shoe Factory Road. The location is in or near the Shoe Factory Road Woods and south of Arboretum of South Barrington and southeast of the Sears Arena.
Winds today are from the south to south-southwest about 10-20 mph and forecast to gust to 30 mph.
