Chicago police and firefighter/paramedics responded about 2:48 a.m. Tuesday to a plane crash at 6511 South Knox Avenue.
Firefighters on the scene report a small aircraft crashed into a 1 1/2 story home. The crash site is located about three blocks east and two blocks south of Runway 13C/31C at Midway International Airport.

Firefighters are staging at 65th Street and Cicero Avenue.
The aircraft that crashed is a fixed-wing twin engine Aero Commander 500-B manufactured in 1964.
