AMHQ looks into the allegations made by Gov. Cuomo against the NWS.
New York Governor Andrew Cuomo suggested that the National Weather Service was “off” in its forecast. The Weather Channel reviews the facts and reveals that the NWS Buffalo was warning about a possibility of 2 feet of snow as early as November 16, 2014. The Weather Channel also presented their warnings on November 17, 2014.
After the heavy snow, Governor Cuomo had to address heavy flooding caused by warm temperatures and rapid melting of the deep snow.
Now Cuomo wants to spend millions dollars in federal funding for its own network of weather recording stations.
