Ukraine’s military spokesman Andriy Lysenko reported that a Russian tank column has crossed into Ukraine. Speaking in Kyiv, Andriy reported on Friday that military equipment carrying ammunition and fighters crossed from Russia into eastern Ukraine.
Thursday, November 6, 2014 a column of 32 tanks, 16 howitzer artillery systems and 30 trucks carrying ammunition and fighters are reported to have crossed into eastern Ukraine from Russia, the Kiev military reported on Friday.
“The deployment continues of military equipment and Russian mercenaries to the front lines,” Ukraine’s National Security and Defense Council Spokesman (RNBO) Andriy Lysenko said in a televised briefing.
The deployment of armor across the border follows a claim on Thursday by pro-Russian rebels in eastern Ukraine that Kiev government forces were making offensive maneuvers.
