Schaumburg police and firefighter/paramedics responded about 2:35 PM Wednesday to 123 Century Court Schaumburg, IL. Police and firefighter/paramedics received a report that billowing black smoke was coming out of a townhouse.
Numerous callers reported a fire in the townhouse. At least one caller reported hearing an explosion. A working fire response was requested by about 2:38 p.m.
First firefighters upon arrival reported a fire showing. Interior firefighters reported a fire in the rear of the townhouse on the second floor.
All firefighters were working and beginning to rotate crews at about 3:00 p.m.
