St. Peter Lutheran School in Arlington Heights is continuing to celebrate its 150th birthday with special events throughout this school year. During the weekend of October 18-19, 2014, the school’s 150th birthday was celebrated at all of the church’s worship services. Over 1300 people attended and heard St. Peter school children sing and lead prayers. The church lobby and fellowship area were decorated with cardboard themed birthday cakes which were made by each classroom of the school. To add to the celebration, each service ended with a cupcake treat! In February, 2015 the school will be hosting a 150th Gala to continue the birthday celebration.
