Arlington Heights police and firefighter/paramedics responded about 8:42 AM Friday to the Arlington Heights Police Headquarter, 200 East Sigwalt Street Arlington Heights, IL. Firefighter/paramedics responded to the Arlington Heights Police Department Headquarters to check on the condition of “the missing juvenile, 11-years-old.”

An alert citizen saw Sydney Ayala in the area of 1200 E. Northwest Highway at approximately 8:30 a.m. and contacted the Arlington Heights Police who responded and brought her to the police department. Sydney is uninjured and preliminary investigation indicates that she ran away from home. No foul play is suspected.
Paramedics checked her condition as a precaution at the Arlington Heights Police Department Headquarters. She was not transported to the hospital, and paramedics have since left the scene. Police are interviewing to check on her whereabouts overnight and during the period she was missing since 12:15 p.m. Thursday, October 2, 2014.
