Buffalo Grove police and firefighter/paramedics responded about 6:47 AM Thursday to a report of a car smoking and possibly a crash Brandywyn Ln and Deerfield Pkwy Buffalo Grove, IL. Police and firefighter/paramedics received a report that a car was smoking, and then received a report that a car might have crashed. Rescuers were then updated with information that the person was unconscious inside the car. Firefighters upgraded the call to an accident with extrication.
Police and firefighter/paramedics had difficulty finding the crash because the crashed car was located on its side in the backyard of a home on Brandywyn Court, where the victim was found unconscious inside the car by firefighter/paramedics.
The patient was extricated by 7:03 a.m.
Westbound Deerfield Parkway closed at Buffalo Grove Road.
