Mug Shot, Arrest Info for Alleged Arlington Heights Fire Ambulance Thief Samantha Sligar

Samantha Maria Sligar, age 27, was booked at 8:42 a.m. Friday, October 10, 2014 in Champaign County Court and charged with motor vehicle theft over $25,000 and driving with a suspended or revoked license. Sligar’s court date is scheduled for bond court on Saturday, October 11, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. (Bond: $1,500).

There is no word on whether additional charges will be filed related to the vehicle being a fire department rescue ambulance.

Earlier her residence was listed as Minneapolis, Minnesota; however her address listed in the arrest information is on North Church Street in Jacksonville, Florida.

Sligar allegedly stole an ambulance parked near the emergency room at Northwest Community Hospital about 4:13 a.m. Friday and fled with the rescue ambulance to Algonquin Road, then to Route 53, then to eastbound Interstate 90, to southbound Interstate 90/94, to southbound Interstate 57, where she was stopped by police just south of Rantoul, Illinois near Champaign and Urbana, Illinois.
