Arlington Heights police and firefighter/paramedics responded about 4:58 PM Sunday to crash involving an SUV and a building Dunton Avenue and Miner Street Arlington Heights, IL. Police and firefighter/paramedics received a report that
A red Pontiac Vibe was in reverse when it struck a parked car and struck the building at Adam and Eve Salon at 7 East Miner Street. A light pole was also knocked down during the crash, and ComEd was called to the scene to repair some live wires exposed.
Firefighter/paramedics reported there were no injuries at the scene.
Apparently there was no serious damage to the building, but an Arlington Heights Building Department inspector was called to the scene to check for structural damage.
A male, age 68, was charged with failure to reduce speed to avoid and accident, improper backing, and damage to village property.
