Louisville police responded about 1:00 p.m. Tuesday to reports of shots fired at Fern Creek High School. Parents were staged at a nearby baseball field to await further instructions. Some parents were immediately in contact with their children via cell phone.
Jefferson County Sheriff’s Department reported that one person was wounded, and witnesses are reporting that a boy was wounded with non-life-threatening injuries.

Students were seen walking out of the school with their hands above their heads while the shooter was at large.
