Buffalo Grove police and firefighter/paramedics responded about 5:10 PM Saturday to a gas leak at 1212 Lockwood Drive Buffalo Grove, IL. Police and firefighter/paramedics received a report that sewer workers severed a gas line.
Upon arrival firefighters reported they could hear the gas line hissing and requested a Nicor dig crew respond to the scene.
Fire command reported that a service line in the front yard was cut and the line was possibly serving two residences in the neighborhood. Firefighters were able to crimp the line to slow or stop the flow of gas until Nicor arrived.
Firefighters also requested police respond to the scene for crowd control.
