New Power Outage Affects Town & Country, Best Buy, Joanne Fabrics, Joe Caputo & Son’s, Walgreens, Arlington Heights

UPDATE: Power was restored about 10:30 p.m.

Arlington Heights firefighter/paramedics responded about 5:23 PM Saturday to an activated fire alarm at Best Buy, 615 East Palatine Road Arlington Heights, IL. Police and firefighter/paramedics responded to an activated fire alarm. Firefighters on the scene reported a power outage at the entire shopping center at the Town & Country Shopping Center, including Best Buy and Joe Caputo and Sons, and Walgreens.

Firefighters then discovered a downed power line along Rand Road just north of Best Buy.

ComEd replied to firefighters that they will try to repair the line by the overnight time frame, but were unable to commit to a definite.

ComEd reported 100 customers were affected by the power outage. No estimated restoration time was available on the ComEd Outage Map web page …
